The Hollow Log is nestled amongst beautiful native gardens on a 160 acre property in the valley of Mt Byron, close to Lake Wivenhoe and Somerset Dam, just over an hour's scenic drive from Brisbane.

An established wildlife corridor and the use of bird attracting native plants ensures frequent visits by koalas, wallabies, rufous bettongs and other mammals as well as myriad bird life.

Wander around the trails in our wildlife corridor for an easy bushwalk or the more adventurous can hike up the hill for spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

Friendly farm animals - cows and calves, alpacas and chickens are particularly popular with visiting children.

Your hosts, John and Leonie, will help you have a memorable country holiday - feeding farm animals, locating and observing wildlife, visiting secluded Diana's bath, exploring lovely Reedy Creek, relaxing around the fire at night or exploring the Esk Valley of the Lakes area.
